Matt Ryndak of Crete-Monee fired following arrest

Matt Ryndak was the head boys basketball coach at Crete-Monee High School in Crete, Illinois.

He was officially fired by the School District Monday night after being arrested back in May on charges of aggravated sexual criminal assault against a minor. Ryndak has been on administrative leave from the school since early in the month while the allegations were being investigated.

The investigation into Ryndak was conducted by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and clearly Crete police felt that they had sufficient evidence to warrant the coach’s arrest.

It is being reported by Fox-Chicago that Ryndak allegedly fondled a teenage boy four times in 2010. Police have not said what evidence, if any, they have to substantiate the arrest of the popular and well liked Coach Ryndak.

His players speak highly of him when interviewed and he was just recently named as coach of the year.

Matt Ryndak is 30 years old.
