Adam London was a wildly popular kid and a star goalie for the Lacrosse team at Newton North High School in Massachusetts. He died several days ago in a car accident when he was very likely driving in a reckless manner.
Unfortunately, he was driving the same way tens of thousands of high school kids drive every day. On Teamrants.com we make a point to post the sad stories of high school athletes that are lost through bad decisions, in the hope that one young life can be saved in the process. We have been told by friends and family that the front page is too depressing. I agree.
I received an email today asking me to post a follow up to Adam Londons’ tragedy and what his parents are doing in the wake of his tragic death. I couldn’t wait to post this story.
Barbara Spivak is Adams mother, and Howard London is Adams father, Katie London is his older sister.
This family, instead of sinking into unmeasurable depression, is trying to rally and rise up to keep another family from having to face this horror. The family has a simple plan and is asking for a simple pledge from kids to not drive recklessly. The local media has been involved and they have received over 150 signatures on their pledge page to not drive recklessly.
The pledge page can be found here.
