William “Boots” Dancy of Clay-Chalkville dies in his sleep

William Dancy was a football player at Clay-Chalkville High School in Pinson, Alabama.

Dancy died quietly in his sleep earlier this week, the cause of death has yet to be determined.

Dancy was set to start his senior year for the Cougars playing linebacker and Defensive end. He was well liked by his fellow teammates and friends. He was known for making some ferocious tackles on the field, but having a great sense of humor and warm personality off of the field.

William “Boots Dancy was just 18 years old.
