Brian Joens is the girls basketball coach at Regina High School in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was arrested Monday for deliberately defying a judges order not to harass a witness that had testified against him in a reckless driving case. Joens was found guilty in that case, and the judge clearly felt like he would go after the witness, so she ordered he not harass the witness or he would face additional charges.
Well Joens didn’t care much for the judges order and took to videotaping the witness and his family from the street, instructing their kids not to ride bikes on the street, and basically telling people the family was out to get him.
Upon hearing the accusations, the judge had Joens locked up overnight, and now he faces additional charges.
Brian Joens is 36 years old.
To those who have known Brian and his family for several decades, as well as the neighbors involved,
there is something definately wrong here. This matter
is clearly out of control with lives being destroyed
for no good reason. This is crazy. Something is really
wrong and I think new people with a new perspective
need to brought into this matter. It’s too bad this
has evolved as it has. I see nothing in this situation
from the very beginning to warrant everything that keeps
happening, out of Brian’s or anyone’s control, apparently. This nonsense seems to have a life of its
own now. Thank you.
