Nicole Vestal of Crosby dies in accident

Nicole Vestal was a cheerleader at Crosby High School in Texas.

She died Wednesday afternoon when the car she was a passenger in ran a stop sign and was broadsided by a welding truck.  Vestals’ friend Kayla Riordan was driving the vehicle and suffered serious injuries, as did the driver of the welding truck.

Tragically, this happened the day before the last day of school, and a dark and somber mood fell over what would have been a happy day for students at Crosby.

Friends describe Vestal as a genuine person, caring and concerned for everyone, and a true friend to all.

Nicole Vestal was just 16 years old.
