Judhromia “J.J.” Johnson Jr. was a standout football star at Edison High School in Stockton, California.
He has died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head last Thursday. He had been in a coma on life support since the shooting.
He was a passenger in a vehicle on his way to practice when the car came under fire. As the driver tried to flee the scene and get Johnson to a hospital he struck a utility pole.
