Well they fixed a few of the jerk off mistakes they made last year with the baseball team. They cut guys that never should have been on the team last year.

Still sucks that the evaluation process is so horrible that they have to clean it up a year later at the expense of the guys that should have made it last year.

I challenge anybody anywhere to produce stats from last years baseball season. I know for a fact that players kept the books and they “convinced” each other to change the books. Its no wonder no colleges are interested in Round Rock Baseball players like they used to be. The colleges know that they can’t trust the numbers that come from Carter.

Dont believe me? Look at the statesman as the year goes on and watch how Round Rock wont be on the list. How demoralizing must it be for players that are working their asses off not to have their coach care enough to report stats so that God Forbid a college might show interest.

Round Rock is going to take a beating from us like they have never experienced before. I play for Stony Point and we have looked forward to this game all year. I hear stories about how Round Rock is so cocky and think they are all that. This time tomorrow you will know who owns Round Rock, ya bitches.

  7. Danks a LOT says:

John Danks, Round Rock grad, with the pressure of the universe on his shoulders, pitched a shutout to win a tiebreaker game against the Twinks. Brass balls on the former Dragon. Three days rest and he OWNED them.

Atta boy John, atta boy Round Rock….

  11. henson update says:

So far, so good for Hensons in Tampa
Heralded basketball recruits John and Amber Henson, who moved to the area last month and are attending Sickles, have fit in very well thus far. In fact, “I love it here,” John Henson told the Times.

John, a 6-foot-10 senior forward and North Carolina commit, and Amber, a 6-3 sophomore forward who already has scholarship offers from Baylor, Duke, LSU and North Carolina, landed on the doorsteps of Sickles when their father, Matt, decided to take a job here. The family had been living in Round Rock, Texas, a suburb of Austin.

“It’s a lot like Round Rock, but a little different,” Amber Henson said. “There’s about the same diversity. But here, everybody is a little more accepting of each other.”

The siblings’ father echoed their sentiments.

“We love it,” Matt Henson said. “Everybody has really embraced us. (John and Amber) are excited about being here.”

Here are two more tidbits about the Hensons …

John and Amber each have nearly perfect grade-point averages.
Amber, 14, should actually be a freshman. When she was younger, she skipped a grade.

I saw that somewhere too, that xxxxx hit like 400 in district. Nobody that was at any of the games is buying that at all. Somebody was pencil-whipping the old scorebook for sure…..

hey, he is a great catcher, but round rock is better than having to cheat stats to pump a player, come on…..

  20. newsflash says:

Thursday’s Hutto School board meeting provided some interesting news for Round Rock basketball fans waiting to see who will take the helm of the basketball team following the reassignment of popular coach Curtis Knight after the 2007-08 season. Hutto Superintendent David Borrer announced Cody Blake was resigning as basketball coach at Hutto to accept the vacant coaching position in Round Rock.

The hiring has yet to be confirmed by Round Rock ISD, which just completed a hearing process with Knight who was appealing the loss of his head coaching duties. Blake was named Coach of the Year in District 18-3A last season after leading the Hippos to the league title.

Blake will inherit 6-9 power forward, John Henson, a North Carolina signee if he has taken the position.
