For the lamest reason in the world, he was indefinitely suspended today by the school district. In Texas, the UIL is the governing body in high school athletics. One of the UIL rules is that only District Employees may work with players before, during, or after official school events.
In this case, the district got wind of someone that was not a school district employee that had the nerve to throw batting practice to the Cottonpickers players before a game against Sequin.
The district investigated and found it did happen. The coach doesn’t deny it happened, though he adamantly declares that if he had known about it he would have stopped it.
Steve Castro has over 700 wins and two state championships as a baseball coach.
He was arrested today on charges of Indecency with a Child. There are currently only two cases facing Isbell, with the District Attorney saying “one for behavior that happened at the school in Coldspring and one for behavior that happened at his residence in Montgomery County.”
Isbell was placed on administrative leave back in November, after the allegations about the relationship surfaced. Coach Isbell resigned his position around 2 weeks ago.
He turned himself in this morning, was arrested and released pending a court date. The arrest stems from an alleged affair between Kindschi and at least one teenage girl at the school.
A police spokesman said “The police department has been working on this investigation since last fall when we received information and allegations that indicated that Kindschi had inappropriate sexual contact with a student or students”
Joseph Wayne “Joey” Fonseca was a varsity baseball pitcher at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He was killed in an automobile accident early Sunday morning when the car he was in left the road and struck a tree. The 16 year old driver of the car has not been identified, but police believe that he was under the influence of alcohol and have charged him with DUI and involuntary manslaughter.
Marvin Kloss is a machine as a kicker for Collier High School in Naples, Florida. So much so that he was offered prefered walk on status at USF under new head coach Skip Holtz. With such an offer, particularly for a kicker, a scholarship is easily attainable assuming he continues to be consistent and is a good student.
All of that is in jeopardy now, as Kloss has been arrested and charged with grand theft. He was arrested with teammate Carlos Andres Perez-Charton, who also had college football aspirations.
The charges involve some 8,000 dollars worth of stuff stolen from a private residence during a party they attended. Police detectives have said that Kloss has already admitted his involvement in the theft.
Laura Vogel used to be the girls soccer coach at Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
As a free spirited “dream chaser” she had recently moved to Hawaii to work as a tutor.
Vogel’s van was found February 21st with the keys in the ignition and a door open near a homeless encampment. Parts of her cell phone have been found, indicating it may have been destroyed by someone that didn’t want her location traced.
Unfortunately, the Hawaii police have discontinued the search for Vogel, which means her disappearance may never be solved.
Johnny Pride was for a short time in 2008, an athletic coach and a substitute campus supervisor at Canyon High School in Canyon Country, California.
It looks like they were fortunate that he was only there for a short time.
Pride has now been arrested and booked on suspicion of rape, lewd conduct with a minor, sodomy, oral copulation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The police allege that Pride got two 14 year old girls drunk and raped them. Around the 27th of last month, Pride bought the girls alcohol, then text-ed them inviting them to his place, where the worst of the crimes occurred.
DeAndre Elliott was a star running back at Worthing High School in Houston Texas.
He was murdered in November of last year so that some thug could take his 1992 Buick Park Avenue. The thugs name is Quentin Leon McIntyre. The 19 year old is charged with capital murder in the shooting death of DeAndre Elliott.
Elliott was one of the good guys, kept his head down, stayed out of trouble and busted his ass to make a better life for himself.
No surpirise, but this thug McIntyre was already in jail on other charges. DeAndre Elliott was only 17 years old.
It’s not ok anymore to be the cool parent that buys your kids alcohol and supports the big party. Ultimately, one of them will get in a car drunk off their ass and wipe out a family, or themselves. How cool will you feel then?
